HIRE US TO HOST A NAVIGATING THROUGH GRIEF WORKSHOP
Our workshops provide professionals, students, staff, family, and friends with skills and strategies for coping with grief and to educate non-bereaved individuals on how to support their grieving peer or loved one. The workshop provides information and skills to support, educate, and increase awareness around grief and bereavement.

We offer 1-hour workshops, half-day workshops, and full-day workshops that vary in cost. An example of what to expect in a full-day workshop can be seen on the right. Customizations can be provided with an additional cost.

Join The BFO-Halton/Peel Hope Circle
The BFO-Halton/Peel Hope Circle is Bereaved Families of Ontario – Halton/Peel’s leading donor group, providing critical philanthropic support that empowers BFO-Halton/Peel to continue to be there for people who are devastated by loss and deeply grieving. To be a part of this sensational group, you honour us with a 1 year commitment of a monthly donation of $1,000.00.
In recognition of this generosity, Hope Circle members enjoy special engagement opportunities, including:
* Personal contact within the BFO Halton/Peel Philanthropy Department
* Opportunities for behind-the-scenes tours at our offices
* Information sessions with senior-level staffers
* Recognition on all BFO Halton/Peel social media and website (optional)

Directed Gift Giving
Unrestricted Gift: We will determine where your gift will have the greatest impact. You decide the amount of gift, and how often you wish to make it (one time, yearly)
Restricted Gift: Designate your gift to any of our programs that you feel aligns closest to your social responsibility. You decide the amount of gift, and how often you wish to make it (one time, yearly)

Employee Engagement
Payroll Giving
Enable your employees to support BFO-Halton/Peel through payroll giving program. It's an easy way to give and make a difference. Your HR department sets up an account, we fill out a form through Revenue Canada, we set up an account and send you a regular report. Just like that!
Matching Gifts
Another way you can support your employees' generosity is through ‘matching gifts’ program. Here, your company offers to match your employees' donations to BFO-Halton/Pee, which doubles their contributions. Its so easy!
Matched Giving
Another way to cheer on your employees’ volunteerism is your agreement to match the money that an employee/ group of employees have raised by their participating in fundraiser on behalf of BFO-Halton/Peel. It’s a 1:1 matching ratio of support that doubles their giving impact!
Charity of the Year
Does your company nominate a selected charity to support over the course of the year? If so, we’d love your vote! We promise to make it an unforgettable year.
In recognition of this generosity, BFO-Halton/Peel will be posting your name in on all our social media platforms for the whole year, and on our website.
Sponsorship & Event Partnerships
We have a calendar of BFO-Halton/Peel led events for the year that you can support, such as our highly anticipated Food as Community evening. Each event has various sponsorship opportunities and gives the chance for increased positive brand exposure.

1. HOW DOES MY DONATION HELP?

BFO-Halton/Peel is proud to be able to offer our services free of charge. We have seen a 470% increased demand for our services since 2020 and this continues to grow daily. Your donation will directly help us meet this demand.
2. IS THIS DONATION SECURE?
Absolutely. The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We will not sell, trade or share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.

3. HOW ELSE CAN I MAKE A DONATION?
​
The Centre for Grief and Healing BFO-Halton/Peel accepts donations via cheque, credit cards or debit through our CanadaHelps portal.
