Our programs are essential. It is because of your generosity that we are able to continue to have an enduring impact on children, teens, and adults, and to dispel the stigma of grief. We have seen a 470% increased demand for our services since 2020 and this continues to grow daily.

Individual Support

In 2020, we facilitated 331 one-to-one peer support sessions.

In 2021, we facilitated
 1,422 one-to-one peer support sessions. 432 new members joined us in 2021.

With a smaller team in 2022, we facilitated
 915 one-to-one peer support sessions.
431 new members joined us in 2022.

In 2023, we facilitated
848 one-to-one peer support sessions. 398 new members joined us in 2023.

In 2020, we provided 71 groups, welcoming 434 total group visits.

In 2021, we provided
190 groups, welcoming 966 total group visits.


In 2022, we provided 206 groups, welcoming 1,116 total group visits.

In 2023, we provided 218 groups, welcoming 1,006 total group visits.

Education & Awareness

We participated in Health & Wellness education and grief workshops across Halton and Peel bringing awareness to issues surrounding grief and bereavement.

In 2021, 
1,919 individuals were supported through varying events, workshops, and social media initiatives.

In 2022, we facilitated
13 different events and/or workshops and various social media initiatives to over 1,000 community members.

 

In 2023, we facilitated 9 different events and/or workshops and various social media initiatives to over 1,000 community members.

1. HOW DOES MY DONATION HELP?

BFO-Halton/Peel is proud to be able to offer our services free of charge. We have seen a 470% increased demand for our services since 2020 and this continues to grow daily. Your donation will directly help us meet this demand.

 

2. IS THIS DONATION SECURE?

Absolutely. The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We will not sell, trade or share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.

3. HOW ELSE CAN I MAKE A DONATION?

​

The Centre for Grief and Healing BFO-Halton/Peel accepts donations via cheque, credit cards or debit through our CanadaHelps portal.
